I just wanted  to let all who were involved with the little paralyzed squirrel Simone that she passed away Saturday morning. I was going to bring her back to mom that afternoon after work but when I awoke in the am to express her bladder she was crashing. She passed very quickly. It is truely sad since just the night before she was acting fine and was running around. I am afraid that she may have become septic from the wound on her foot and the antibiotics we were using were not strong enough. It's been a long road for Simone but in the short time that I had her I really loved her spirit. She was strong and independent. She took over my house in the first two days she was here, destroyed four pillows, and called Joe & Casey out to challenge their alpha status. She really was a hoot. She will be sorely missed by myself as well as her devoted mom who wanted to save her at all cost. Goodby sweet Simone.

Oh Loopy...   I'm SO SORRY to hear that PRECIOUS little Simone lost her fight for life.    I knew things weren't good overall, but I was praying SO hard for her.    She was such a little fighter.    Please tell her Mommy I'm SO SORRY she lost her little girl.

RIP Simone.  She knew a lot of love while she was here.  It is hard when this kind of thing happens but she brought joy to those who knew her.

Oh Loopy...I am so very sorry that Simone lost the fight.  It always gives me comfort to know that a little squirrel died in a loving place, and not alone...Thank you for taking her and giving her the best possible care... . I am so very sorry you had to go through this...
